We have had a note from XPO Logistics following the severe weather last week. Please see the below for any information which may have affected you or your orders:
Following on from this afternoon’s network update meeting we can confirm that the recovery plan is making good progress and a number of our depots and partner operations are well on their way to being back on track
We are still experiencing issues due to the back log in some depots. Motherwell, Rochester, Gloucester, Taunton and our Partners in South Wales all have a high volume of held over freight which they are endeavouring to clear but anticipate it will still be a few days until they are up to date completely
Although we are now accepting freight for all depots there is a significant uplift in volume and therefore we cannot guarantee to deliver or normal service until the middle of the week. We do appreciate your co-operation and understanding and if there are any significantly urgent orders, then please communicate this to your account handler.
We will be running extra trunk vehicles throughout this evening and tomorrow morning to help clear the back log and return to business as usual as quickly as possible.
As in previous updates we understand that communication is going to play a key part of our recovery process and will provide a further update tomorrow morning.
